commissions process

I take human portrait commissions a few times each year. These projects are deeply collaborative, allowing us to explore your vision in a meaningful way. Due to the time and creative energy required, I accept only a limited number of human portrait commissions each year. Here’s how the process works:

  1. Reach out with your idea – Share your vision, references, and preferred timeframe and budget. Feel free to draw inspiration from my existing or past artwork.

  2. Review options – I’ll respond with pricing and size options. Once we agree, we’ll finalize a clear agreement covering size, price, and timeline.

  3. Secure your project – A 50% nonrefundable deposit initiates the project.

  4. Sketch approval – Within 2–3 weeks, you’ll receive a composition sketch (digital or gouache) for feedback and approval.

  5. Final painting – After your approval, I’ll bring your artwork to life.

  6. Delivery – Once complete and the remaining balance is settled, I’ll ship or personally deliver your piece.

This structured process ensures a smooth, enjoyable experience from start to finish—whether it’s a portrait of your furry friend or a human loved one.

I offer custom pet portraits in various sizes, capturing your furry friend's unique personality. You can order directly through my Etsy shop or reach out to me via the contact form here on the website.
